Cover-Up Tattoo Amsterdam

About this style

A cover-up starts with understanding what is already there. Size, darkness, colour, age, scar tissue and placement determine what can realistically be achieved.

01

What we need from you first

Send clear, well-lit photos of the existing tattoo from a straight angle, plus a photo from further away showing the placement.

Tell us how old it is, whether it has been reworked or lasered and whether there is scar tissue. That changes what is possible.

02

Cover-up, rework or laser first

Not everything can be covered in one step. Sometimes a rework is the better answer; sometimes a few laser sessions elsewhere first give far more design freedom.

We say that honestly during a free consultation instead of promising a result the skin cannot deliver.

From idea to design

Made for your body, not copied from a screen.

We translate references into an original composition, balancing linework, detail and contrast with size and placement.

Not everything, and not always in one session. Dark, solid or large pieces limit the options; we tell you what is realistic after seeing photos.
