How a project starts
A tattoo can begin with a finished concept, a memory, a photograph, a few references or simply a direction. Consultations are free. We take time to understand the idea and adjust size, placement or detail when needed.

Motorink Tattoo Studio Amsterdam is an experienced custom tattoo studio in the heart of the city. For more than 15 years, Motorink has been part of Amsterdam's tattoo scene, bringing together resident artists with different specialties under one clear studio standard: strong work, honest guidance and respect for the person wearing the tattoo.
Motorink is led by Célio Macedo, a tattoo artist with more than 25 years of experience. That experience shapes the way we work: we look beyond the reference image and think about anatomy, placement, line weight, contrast, scale and how a tattoo needs to age.

From the first reference to the healed tattoo, we consider design, anatomy, technique and the long term.
A tattoo can begin with a finished concept, a memory, a photograph, a few references or simply a direction. Consultations are free. We take time to understand the idea and adjust size, placement or detail when needed.
Our resident team covers realism, colour realism, traditional, old school, blackwork, ornamental, abstract, lettering, Japanese and oriental-inspired work, cover-ups and large-scale projects. Fine-line tattooing is a technical foundation across the entire team.
We work with pre-booked projects and keep artists available daily for walk-ins. The studio is in Amsterdam City Centre, a short walk from Dam Square, serving local clients, returning clients and visitors from around the world.
Motorink works under a valid GGD tattoo permit. You can check any Dutch studio in the official public register before you book.
We talk through your idea, size and placement and give an honest estimate. A consultation is free; the studio minimum is €100.
