16+. Dutch law allows people aged 16 and over to decide for themselves. We ask for valid ID at every appointment.
Identification
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to every tattoo appointment. A copy, photo or expired document may not be sufficient.
Responsible assessment
Meeting the minimum age does not create an automatic right to treatment. We assess the design, placement, informed consent and safety and may decline a request.

No exceptions below 16
We do not tattoo anyone under 16, also not with parental consent or a signed statement. This follows the Dutch hygiene rules for tattoo studios.
Accepted documents
Passport, Dutch or EEA identity card, or a driving licence issued in the EEA. The document must be valid and the photo must be recognisable.
Sensitive placements
For hands, neck, face and head we always make an individual assessment, whatever your age, and we may decline.
Vouchers and gifts
A tattoo voucher can be bought for someone else, but the person receiving the tattoo must still meet the age and ID requirements.
